Aging Observatory

老いの都市学

This observatory does not watch aging as a welfare category. It watches whether a city still permits a person to remain the author of everyday life after the urban radius begins to shrink.

Safety, healthcare, and accessibility matter. They are not the whole of inhabitability. Weak ties, familiar places, anonymity, repeated routes, and micro-infrastructure also decide whether a life can continue as itself.

Diary Observatory captures what was noticed before interpretation hardens it. Classics Meaning Layer extracts durable questions from older texts. This observatory tests those questions against contemporary urban life. Observation may then return and change what the fragment, or the old text, now means.

高齢者向けに設計された都市ではなく、老いても自分の生活の作者であり続けられる都市を観測する。日記は解釈の前に気づきを保つ。古典は問いを抽出する。この観測所は、その問いを現代の都市生活に対して試す。

Observation, not care advice. Working concepts, not scores. Pattern, not census.
